Joe the Plumber - INSANE?

Some how the Republican party have convinced people that one day they will be rich and that they should vote against their best interest today to prepare. This is crazy and Joe the Plumber is a perfect example of this craziness. Joe told Obama many lies in less than 30 sec. If Joe the Plumber ever woke up from his dream he would realize that all of the things he told Obama that was important to him Obama's plan would better serve him, but he will no doubt vote against his own best interest. How could this be?

Joe is in a fantasy world. Joe the Plumber lied to Obama and said “I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes $250,000 to $280,000 a year,” “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” According to some tax analysts, if Mr. Wurzelbacher’s gross receipts from his business is $250,000 — and not his taxable income — then he would not have to pay higher taxes under Mr. Obama’s plan, and probably would be eligible for a tax cut. Also the business he currently works at only grossed about $100K last year and will get a tax cut with Obama's plan and this benefits Joe the Plumber and the business owner. Joe the Plumber has a lot to learn about business.

Joe the Plumber is a lier and lies to himself to believe that McCains tax plan would be better for him. “All contractors are licensed, and he does not have a license, either as a contractor or a plumber,” the union official said, citing a search of government records. “I can’t find that he’s ever even applied for any kind of apprenticeship, and he has never belonged to local 189 in Columbus, which is what he claims on his Facebook page.” Joe the Plumber needs to become more motivated, get a license and begin an apprenticeship program before he should buy a plumbing business. Joe the Plumber only earned about $40K last year. I'm no business Guru but I would think he would have to earn more than that to buy a business worth $250K.

According to public records, Mr. Wurzelbacher has been subject to two liens, each over $1,000, one of which — a personal tax lien — is still outstanding. This leads me to believe that Joe the Plumber is not really worried about paying taxes

“We have his named spelled W-O, instead of W-U,” Linda Howe, executive director of the Lucas County Board of Elections, said in a telephone interview. “Handwriting is sometimes hard to read. He has never corrected it in his registration card.” It would be ironic if Joe the Plumber would be purged for the voter roles because of this. Joe would have to live in an area that is likely to vote for Obama for that to happen.

Why would someone vote against their own best interest? Even more disturbing, why would someone create a fantasy that would justify voting againt their own best interest? Everyone please wake up and be honest with yourself. Most of you are like Joe and do not have the means, motivation or the intelligence to become rich. The Republicans have nothing to offer you. Live your normal life and be happy. Joe the Plumber is INSANE!

Do you have your own world-wide-web yet?

All good points. You can't help but feel bad for Ol' Joe. The anti-tax hysteria in the US is ludicrous. Working peoples wages have flatlined since the 1970s while productivity and profits have gone sky high. In order to help workers feel like their consumption habits could be sustained, the already filthy rich profiteers began lending money with interest to workers. They got us twice over. Exploitation friggin squared! And unfortunately, neither Democrats and Republicans grasp the magnitude of the crisis or offer anything even half way decent to line up behind.

Aw, give Joe a break. He's just mad because he's freaked out about losing his redneck superiority. /sarcasm

These people sicken me. With the Dems in power next year, we better put this country in the right direction again so we don't have another turn towards idiocy.

Joe's a good warning to others who may feel inclined to spout nonsense to get their 15 minutes. He's not really surprised that papers went and checked him after he was given such a prominent role in a national debate, is he? Republicans should hound the guy for not paying his taxes.

This anti-tax hysteria is utter nonsense, just least common denominator crap that takes center stage each election cycle.

It's not about Joe, it's about the dough!

NObama wants to redestribute
the wealth. Check with pre-Castro Cubans what that means.

Goodness gracious.

I am sorry to see that you also have to endure cube's nonsense. Never mind that cube's hero is nationalizing our financial sector and employing Stalinist surveillance tactics; OBAMA is the "socialist!"

The whole argument is plain stupid anyway. Fatcat CEOs were able to make those stratospheric salaries because pay and benefits for workers have been GUTTED, but THAT isn't wealth redistribution, right? cube and the rest of his 'tard brethren are as fake as Joe the Plumber (a guy with a very obvious agenda) is.

Thanks JollyRoger. Since when is privatizing the wealth when things are going well and socializing the pain when things are going bad fare? Cube and republicans are cowards! When they fail they return with hats in hand begging for help. (IE the latest Wall Street welfare payout). When the best and brightest of America fails we bail them out, but when the least amounts us need a hand say hell no (IE the Schip program). If we can help one, we can help the other. 1 trillion dollars to Wall Street, the largest re-distribution of wealth in history if you do not include the Iraq war.

"Joe is in a fantasy world. But I do feel its time for Americans to wake up and realize how hard it really is to have a taxable income of more then $250K.

PS. think you for this blog, I have read to many others crying in fear of higher taxes its good to know that the truth does reach some people.

You nuts still don't understand Obama is not cutting taxes no matter how much he says he is. Tax rates will remain the same, and when the Bush tax cuts expire everyone's tax rate will go up.

All Obama is offering is "tax credits". These tax credits will be available to even those people that don't pay taxes. In essence, your taxes will be redistributed to those who pay nothing.

In addition, what's commonly not understood is that businesses pay no taxes. YOU pay corporate and business tax. For a business to reman viable and make a margin of profit ... everything, including taxes are figured into the price of a product. When taxes go up ... either the price of that product goes up or the workforce is cut to retain the profit margin. Without any profit, there is no incentive to stay in business.

Bottom line is Obama's stealth "tax cut" will be nothing but a "tax increase" on the middle class. Businesses will simply raise prices and cut jobs to cover the tax increase.

Oh yeah ... in addition, Obama also wants to levy a payroll tax on those making $250,000 or more. That will decimate the workforce, prices will skyrocket and the economy will drop like a rock.

All this is fact. Look it up yourself ... for once.

Anonymous, in the last 8 years Americas has been told to be afraid. Be afraid of the Terrorist, be afraid of that country, be afraid of this country and be afraid of tax cuts. I have never seen a lager bunch of cowards in my like. Please state Obama's tax cut to what is listed on his web site and not nonsense talking points.

Any company that throws in the towel because of a 3% tax raise I say good bye to them. If there is a profit to be made some entrepreneur will fill the void.

If businesses raise prices and can get someone to pay them more power to them. That is what business is.

That idiot BUSH has grown the deficit to 9 trillion dollars. This is costing the United States 300 Billion dollars a year in just interest without a penny paid to principal. This makes the country unsafe among other things. No one runs their household this way. Now you want to put his twin brother McCain in office to continue this insanity.

These 9 Trillion dollars has to be paid and taxes will be raised on those who are more able to pay it. You can not make the party private and the clean up public. Those who were at the party must pay.

Time to grow up boys and girls and leave the children something to be proud of.

You're an idiot

"You're an idiot" That's intelligent. At least McCain will get one vote. Would you want Joe to repair your plumbing? Joe would be reading Plumbing For Dummies on your front lawn before the job.

Is there a Vice President For Dummies in print?
